According to the gentleman answering the phone at the airport, the statue was donated by a local corporation almost 20 years ago. He believes the name emblazoned across the back of the pilot's jacket -- Jim Davidson -- is the sculptor. However, searches online suggest "Jim Davidson" is a fake artist alias for statue knockoffs produced by foundries in Thailand!
