The Oregon Short Line rail car was built in 1903 as an executive car for the VP of the Union Pacific Railroad. Its original cost to build was $16,685. The car was retired in 1935, and was used as a summer home in West Yellowstone for many years after that. Restored in 1995, it was moved to its current location, and a Holiday Inn was built around it.
