Buckaroo Hall of Fame

This small museum honors several buckaroos of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is inside the Winnemucca Chamber of Commerce building. Admission is free and includes a separate museum of sheep and goats of the world.

[David Sumner, 07/07/2016]

According to the Buckaroo Hall of Fame, working cowboys in this part of the West wanted to be called "buckaroos," not cowboys. The inductees have nicknames such as "Shorty," "Shamy," and "Sharkey."
