Bethel Church Park

A public park has been built into the burned-out structure of a historic church.

Bethel Baptist Church, built in 1891, was gutted by a 2005 fire. Everything inside the walls was cleaned out, then opened as a park in 2013. The park "grass" inside the now-roofless church is actually astroturf.
