A historical marker notes that David Rice Atchison, who was U.S. President for one day in 1849, was born somewhere around here. Marker removed.
- Directions:
- South side of the city. Hwy 4/New Circle Rd exit 18. Drive north on Hwy 1974/Tates Creek Rd for a quarter-mile. Marker will be on the left, at the stoplight intersection of Dove Run Rd and Tates Creek Rd, at the entrance to the Lansdowne Shoppes shopping center.

A historical marker commemorates the birth site of David Rice Atchison, regarded by some (but I'm thinking not many) as America's only U.S. President for a day. Atchison was born August 11, 1807, in Frogtown, KY.
