Lego pals.

If you plan on seeing everything, spend more than one day! We came in the winter, so the water park was closed, but we would love to come in the summer to enjoy it. It was tight seeing everything and we missed a few things. Everything was way cheaper than Disneyland. My kids loved it!

Mini Manhattan.

If your children are teens don't bother, they will be bored as hell, but the younger kids will love it. There is a free water park inside Legoland! It is awesome. Bring bathing suits, towels and a change of clothes and the little ones will be happy for hours. They have lockers by the water park for your stuff. There is also a "charge" water park the older kids might like but the free one included with the normal entry will satisfy even the pickiest of early teen and younger.

Legoland is a mainstream attraction for kids; we include it primarily because of its mini-mania, and hidden "easter eggs" reputed to be in some scenes.

The only "semi-naughty" joke I can recall seeing at Legoland was that in the cut-away view of one of the "New York" buildings there was a bathroom, complete with miniature occupant. Maybe the other jokes are just hidden better?

Apparently the park's Lego builders have hidden semi-naughty joke shapes and images among their imaginative creations.

Legoland Boasts: "We are earthquake proof!"

Legoland California, a theme park composed of 31 million of the plastic toys, opened this weekend in Carlsbad, CA. The park is modeled somewhat on successful parks in Denmark (Lego's home turf) and England.
