- Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. Hwy 358/S. Padre Island Drive exit onto Hwy 357/Rodd Field Rd. Drive south about two miles. Turn left at the stoplight onto Wooldridge Rd. Drive until it ends. You'll see Rusty ahead on the left.

The heron stands at the entrance to the Heron the Oso Bay Nature Preserve and Learning Center.

There is a huge metal sculpture of a heron eating a fish, right by a developing neighborhood. It's part of a city park that has nature trails, a playground, and an interpretive center (when it's open). The kids thought it was awesome.
