In Shelby Park, across from Sevier Pond, there is a giant sculpture of a dripping silver bird. Easy access and nice shaded area for lunch. Also hidden down a path near the Shelby Parks Recreation Center is a "healing" cave spring with foundations of a colonnade. It's rumored that Jesse James hid here for a while. Nice park folly remains: a mushroom-shaped structure.
