The entrance to the Memphis Zoo resembles an ancient Egyptian temple, complete with hieroglyphics on the walls. Once you're inside, the Egyptian theme continues with two more temple buildings and a large obelisk.
At the panda exhibit you enter through a pagoda and there are many other Chinese buildings and statues. The Northwest Passage area begins with a series of large totem poles guarding the entrance. I had originally planned to be there about three hours but ended up staying over six hours; it was that much fun.
