Golden escalator, golden lobby, only wish we could get a shot of the golden toilet.

You're allowed inside Trump Tower, as the lobby is open to the public. There's shopping, a Trump-branded gift shop, a Trump-branded ice cream parlor, a restaurant. The escalators were still available for me to use when I stopped by in March 2016 and August 2017. At one point there was a Niketown store, which has moved, I believe.
What's also interesting is that our 26th President, Teddy Roosevelt, once had a home across the street at 6 West 57th Street, which has since been demolished. In that home both TR's mother and wife died on the same day in the same home on 2/14/1884.
