Macon, Georgia: Allman Brothers Caged Party Graves
The graves of Allman Brothers band members Berry Oakley, Duane and Gregg Allman, and Butch Trucks have been locked behind a tall fence to prevent rock 'n' roll fans from doing stuff to (and on) them.
Rose Hill Cemetery

- Directions:
- Rose Hill Cemetery. I-16 exits 1A or IB. Drive across the river and turn right onto Riverside Drive. The cemetery will come up quickly on the right. The graves are back by the train tracks; a sign on the door of the cemetery office gives directions to the Allman graves.

Take the main road all the way to the end and turn right. The train tracks will be on your left and the old bandstand on your right. Turn right by the bandstand and graves are at the top of a short road.
[Sasscraft, 06/16/2022]There's now a sign on the door of the cemetery office giving directions to the Allman Brothers graves. There is currently no headstone for Greg, but his grave was surrounded by a small roped-off area with a lot of memorabilia that had been left by fans.

Brother Gregg Allman is now buried to the left of the fenced-in area. It is a beautiful place to visit.

Beautiful 1840 cemetery. Found Allman gravestones fairly easy.

As you pass the gates of Rose Hill Cemetery, make a right and then veer to the left, pass the Eglantine Square sign, and follow to the bottom of the hill. We parked at the train tracks and walked through the ravine just beyond the large oak tree.
