- From Hwy 104/S. Main Ave. on the south side of Warrenton, turn west onto SW 9th St. Drive one mile. Turn right at the stop sign onto NW Ridge Rd. Drive two miles. Turn left onto Jetty Rd, into Fort Stevens State Park. Drive one mile. Turn left into the Battery Russell parking lot. The engraved stone memorial is at the south end of the Battery, nestled against the trees,

In addition to bombing Oregon, Japan also shelled Oregon. There is a large engraved stone memorial located at Battery Russell, Fort Stevens State Park, commemorating the event. It also addresses the wishes of both nations to always work toward an everlasting peace.
