Hambone (full name: Hamilton T. Bone) was the last U.S. Army artillery pack mule. He died in 1971.

- U.S. Army Fort Carson. From Hwy 115 turn east on Nelson Blvd, then turn right to the Fort Carson Visitor Center. Get a day pass (with valid U.S. ID). Continue east through the main entrance gate, then straight through the traffic circle. Make next left onto Ware St. Drive north. Make first right onto Ellis St. Drive a half-mile. Make fourth right onto Barkeley Ave. Drive a hundred yards. You'll see the grave on the left.

The grave of a famed, jumping Army artillery mule is located on post at Fort Carson. The grave is in front of several barracks buildings. It sits alone, flanked by cannon, and is fairly easy to spot from a distance.
