Woodford, Virginia: Stonewall Jackson Died Here
A shrine to a Confederate commander. Stonewall died in this little white building on May 10, 1863, after one of his own sentries misidentified the approaching rider and shot him in the arm. Monument outside house reads, "Stonewall Jackson Died."

Located on Stonewall Jackson Rd (SR 606) approximately three miles west of Hwy 2. It resides right next to the railroad. This is where he died. There is a small museum with occasional tours.
