Circus Trees - Attraction Remnants
This is the original site of Axel Erlandson's "Tree Circus," opened in 1947, later renamed " The Lost World." In 2001, 19 of his original, wonderfully grafted trees were sold to Bonfante Gardens in Gilroy, where today they continue to amaze and thrive.
Three grafted trees (2 alive, 1 dead) remain on the property, where a plaque is located that tells the story of Axel and his trees.
The trees are located in the front and back parking lot.
