Minneapolis, Minnesota: Lorax Stump

Sculpted by chainsaw artist Curtis Ingvoldstad out of a red oak stump on a private home's front lawn in early 2017. The Lorax, a Dr. Seuss character, has a pensive expression, as if contemplating the stumpification of even more trees.

Directions:
South side of the city. I-35W exit 12. Turn west onto E. Diamond Lake Rd. Make first right at the stoplight onto Nicollet Ave. Drive north, cross Minnehaha Creek, then make first left onto W. 52nd St. Drive a quarter-mile until the street ends at W. Minnehaha Pkwy. Look to the left; you'll see the Lorax. He stands on the lawn of a private home, but the owners don't mind if you take pictures.
