Potsdam, New York: Toilet Garden #1

One of three "toilet gardens" placed in vacant lots around town, between 2004 and 2015, by frustrated landlord Hank Robar. The flowers are plastic, but the dirt-filled toilets and urinals are real.

Toilet Art

In a decade long protest against the village, a landowner setup yard fulls of toilets! Large poles striped with colorful ribbons sit behind each & the bowls have been to turned into planters. Some spots have other sculptures or colorful backdrops. I enjoy this comment shared to their local NCPR by an unnamed source: "People need to "loosen" up a little. Flush the negative down the drain."
