Buffalo, New York: Karma: Tower of Stacked Humans

Do Ho Suh's "Karma" is a tower of stacked humans, each crouching on the shoulders of the one below, extending skyward into apparent infinity. Bizarre and impressive.

Tower of Stacked Humans

Statue the same all the way to top.

[Carol Rhonemus, 05/15/2017]

Do Ho Suh's "Karma" has stood outside the Albright-Knox Art Gallery since 2010. On the shoulders of a man crouches another man, and other, and another, each holding his hands over the eyes of the one below. The artist says its a statement about human interdependency. Despite its seemingly infinite height, the sculpture is just 23 feet tall.
