Rachel, Nevada: Extraterrestrial Highway Sign

The E.T. Highway is marked by two signs: one here, and one in Crystal Springs. This one has a more alien-looking landscape. Dedicated by Nevada Governor Bob Miller on April 18, 1996, to promote the movie "Independence Day," which has mostly been forgotten.

As of mid-May 2017 the Extraterrestrial Highway sign at Rachel is fairly new and almost sticker-free. There's an easy pull-out at the sign.
