The gas station next to the cornstalk is undergoing renovation, probably done soon. The interesting thing about it is that it has at least seven Tesla charging stations.
[Jon Morgan, 01/18/2020]Good rest stop. You can gas up, visit the Corn Crib store/cafe and use the restroom. Nice little park/picnic area to stretch your legs and see the sculpture.

The corn stalk is in a park just off of Interstate 80 as you enter Shelby. It stands at the entrance to the Old Stone Arch Nature Trail, which looked like a great hike but I didn't have time to walk it.
[Trace, 06/03/2017]Officially named "Agri-Symbol," the metal artwork is by Cliff Carlson. It includes the outline of corn, a pig, and a cow, which are the top three commodities produced by Shelby's farmers.
