This is just off of the interstate exit, on the north side, at the Shell station (Don't make the mistake of driving into town like we did). The corn stalk is a very pretty little park with several benches, and a walking trail starts here. The only thing missing are picnic tables. It would be a lovely place for a roadside lunch.
[Beth Philson, 09/08/2025]Neat stop to get out and take a quick walk. Wetland area with cement path to a dock. Next to newer gas stations shaped like a barn.
[Carrie Lautenschlager, 07/06/2025]We enjoyed the stop! Very convenient location right off of I-80. The gas station is very clean with a large selection inside. The stalk is in a small park with a walking loop, perfect to stretch out and/or walk your pet. Surprisingly, the station also had four Telsa charging stations.

The gas station next to the cornstalk is undergoing renovation, probably done soon. The interesting thing about it is that it has at least seven Tesla charging stations.
[Jon Morgan, 01/18/2020]Good rest stop. You can gas up, visit the Corn Crib store/cafe and use the restroom. Nice little park/picnic area to stretch your legs and see the sculpture.

The cornstalk can't be happy. If everyone drives Tesla electric vehicles, who will use the ethanol made from corn?
