We were able to get to Angle Inlet by boat instead of crossing through Canada. If you don't have your own, there are charter operators who will give you a ride for a fee (which is what we did). The monument now says "Contiguous" rather than "Continental."

The northernmost point in the continental U.S. is found in Angle Inlet, Minnesota, which is itself a geographic anomaly. Now a monument commemorating marks the spot. Newly erected in the last few months (according to a local we talked to), it is very similar to the monument for the southernmost point found in Key West, Florida. Finally a cheesy picture spot after all the adventure of getting there!
