Sterling was the home of Mary and her little lamb. As far as I know, the school house still stands and in the town common there's a statue of the lamb. At Christmastime they hang a wreath aroung it's neck. It's a small statute, maybe 3 feet high. Easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

Update: According to tipster Sharon Jorgenson, "The schoolhouse was purchased by The Ford Foundation and they moved it to The Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA." Mary Sawyer Tyler lived in Sterling from 1806-1889. When she was ten, she got a pet lamb, which often followed her to school. A visiting Harvard student wrote the immortal verse, though only four of the 21 lines are commonly known.
