If you go into the Keim Lumber Co. store and immediately turn right toward the registers, you'll see the giant slab is in the specialty woodworking area. Handy little paper flags mark the tree's age during important historical events. Lots of other neat cross-sections on display, too.
This store is in the heart of non-touristy Amish country, so be mindful of buggies and bikes on winding back roads.
