Lost River Cave

It's important to note the trails (with the butterfly house during the warmer months only) and the nature playground complete are free. The little spring at the end of the trail is free as well.

What cost is if you want to mine for jewels, a guided tour (just get a map and read the signs yourself for free), and the boat tour. There is also a cute gift shop.

We love this place. We live just down the road so we visit quite often and just do the playground and the trails. Stop in the gift shop to get your free map and animals scavenger hunt for the trails!

Very interesting cave tour! Only took about an hour to take the tour and look around outside.

Lost River Cave Boat Tours

Home of Kentucky's only underground boat tour. In the 1930's people flocked to the cave to get away from the heat and enjoy the natural air conditioning the cave provided. The woodland trail leads current day visitors to the enchanting Butterfly Habitat.

Lost River Cave Boat Tours

One of only a few caves that offer boat tours on an underground river. Open year round, but you can't go if the water is too high because of rain. This was my luck after detouring many miles out of my way just for this.
