On the south side of Hwy 173/Main St. at the east edge of town, which is only a few buildings.

Liberty Post Office

Only octagonal post office in the United States. Built in 1867. No longer in operation. On the National Register of Historic Places.

The eight-sided building was originally a harness shop. In 1878 the post office moved in. It's open on weekends in the summer, but as a local historical museum, not a post office.
