On the southwest side of town. From US Hwy 40/W. North St. turn south onto Dayton Rd. The hippo is six blocks south, on the east side of the street, just south of Pleasant St.

Still yawning, still a bit unnerving, still welcoming people to the dump, eyes still red. Easy gravel circle drive for quick photo and turnaround.

A business in Springfield has a yawning hippo statue at its entrance. Mr. Dump Services supplies waste material containers to construction sites and businesses. The big concrete hippo at the entrance looks like it is going to eat the construction materials.
