Near the grave of Billie Burke (Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz), my father spotted stone versions of the Trylon and Perisphere from the 1939 New York World's Fair.
The plot belongs to Rev. Dr. M. Moran Weston II, a banker/priest who was a noted figure in Harlem. Why is his burial site marked by this 15-foot-tall monument? Perhaps he just had an affinity for the 1939 New York World's Fair, for there don't seem to be any direct ties between the two.
