Crystal Shrine Grotto
We were surprised at how cool this place really was. Definitely worth the few extra minutes it took to detour there. We were extra amused at the fact that there seem to be quite a few weddings near the Crystal Shrine Grotto... In the cemetery. We even caught one in action. "Till death do us part" must have special meaning to those couples.
[Kelly, 10/10/2010]Took the whole family to the "Jesus Cave" this week and really enjoyed it. Even if you're not religious, the cave and surrounding landscaping is a sight to behold. In addition to the cave and its frescoes/statuary there is also a pond, meditation garden, and more. The artwork inside the cave is a combination of the original works done in the '30s and modern sculpture of varying mediums. Very impressive and a must-see attraction if you're ever in Memphis.
