This is a nice stop, but parking on the Gas Station side can get tight, especially around lunch when locals pack into the Whistle Stop Cafe next door. We parked on the opposite side without issue. Lots of information posted about this site. The Whistle Stop Cafe has daily specials.

This historic gas station is known for its siding of petrified wood. It was part of the Texas Tourist Camp Complex started in 1927.

So cool! And the cafe is still open today! Wish we could've sat and ate so I could give a review. The cabins are really cool and pretty!
