In 2017 the owners of a house painted its surrounding wall as a tribute to Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night." When city officials told them their wall had to match their house, they painted their house that way, too.

The homeowners of the "Starry Night House," in a town ordinance dispute regarding their outer wall mural of the famous Vincent Van Gogh painting, slyly complied with a civic directive to repaint it to match the house. They painted the rest of the house to match in Starry Night-style!
