Free park encourages you to scrounge for fossils of ancient sea creatures, from trilobites to brachiopods. Bring water, an umbrella, and a watchful eye for live scorpions and snakes.

- Northwest of town. From downtown drive west on US Hwy 180 for 3.5 miles. Turn north onto Indian Creek Rd. Drive 2.5 miles to the Park entrance. Bring plenty of water, knee pads, and a light-colored umbrella for shade.
