Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: Statue of Gassy Jack (Gone)
John "Gassy Jack" Deighton opened Vancouver's first saloon in 1867. He had a big mouth and a 12-year-old Squamish wife. His bronze statue stood at his saloon spot, atop a beer barrel, as if making a speech. Protestors chanting "No more pedophiles!" toppled the statue on Feb. 14, 2022.
