Barbie Museum

This is no longer here -- just a strange semi-deconstructed fountain in an offshoot of a slightly interesting and somewhat forgotten underground mall.

A flood in July closed the museum. Its owners have said that they plan to reopen on another floor of the mall.

So much bigger than expected, and even the guys with us enjoyed it. Oh sure, they are Barbies -- but dressed in costumes from all over the world. There's also an interesting collection created by famous designers, pop culture references from movies, music, and more. And it's free.

Fantastic display of hundreds of Barbies! They are dressed for careers, representing their country, costumed for Hollywood. Many are dressed in famous designer outfits. There is even the opportunity to step into a box to be your own Barbie doll. Free and well worth the stop. Close to the subway.
