Marks the spot where Steve Fossett began and ended the first solo, nonstop, unrefueled, fixed-wing flight around the world, Feb. 28-Mar. 2, 2005. Unveiled March 22, 2018.

- Directions:
- Southwest side of the city. I-135 exit 90. Drive west on W. Magnolia Rd for one mile. Turn left at the stoplight onto Centennial Rd, then make the next right onto Beechcraft Rd. Drive until the road ends at the parking lot; the monument is there.

The monument is a tribute to the start and end points of a successful 2005 solo flight by pilot Steve Fossett -- 22,936-miles around the world in the GlobalFlyer. Fossett died in a plane crash in 2007. The monument features an 8-foot-wide stainless steel globe with a small GlobalFlyer circling it.
