Mike Nesmith was one of the four members of the made-for-TV band, the Monkees. Mike lived with his uncle, Chick Adair, in the San Antonio suburb of Leon Valley. This was in the 1960s, after he was discharged from the Air Force, while he was attending San Antonio College, before he became a Monkee. Chick Adair would later become the developer of the Seneca Estates subdivision in Leon Valley, and he named one of its streets after his famous nephew.
