This is a beautiful church, lovingly maintained by the local historical society. We had the pleasure of talking with one of the volunteers who told us the history of the place. We explored upstairs and downstairs and have never heard acoustics like this building has.

Richmond is noted for its 1813 Round Church. It's actually 16-sided. Legend says the church is 16-sided so the Devil could not find a corner to hide in. Henry Ford once tried to buy the church so it could be moved to Greenfield Village, Michigan. Richmond was formed (1794) from parts of the surrounding towns of Jericho, Williston, Huntington and Bolton.
