- US 29 exit 24A (just south of I-70) onto US 40 east. Quickly turn right onto Rogers Ave. Take this until it ends, then turn left onto Frederick Rd/Hwy 144. Drive around a mile, cross train tracks, then quickly turn left onto Oella Ave. The Mill complex will be a half mile north, on the left.

Oella Mill in the old industrial town of Oella just outside of Baltimore, across the river from Ellicott City. The mill, which once made sails for clipper ships, is now the home of several antique shops, artist studios and other small businesses. While several, including the Bagpipe Museum, are worth a look, the star of the place is Dorfman's Museum Figures. Here is where so many of the waxworks you love are made.
