Coffee Pot-Shaped Building

Very excited to finally see the giant coffee pot and it did not disappoint! The door was locked, and the inside looked abandoned. No museum. No gift shop. But very impressive.

Areas of the cladding material are beginning to deteriorate. Hopefully not a sign of long-term neglect.

Bedford Coffee Pot

I got to see the Coffee Pot at early evening. It was awesome to me, but I appreciate the history of our country. This was something fairly close to home that I never knew about. I would recommend going a little out of your way to see it. It is unique!

Telegraph Rd, which the map tells you to turn onto...doesn't look like a road. It's one of the Fairgrounds entrances. The pot is right there! A sign explains how it was put up to promote Bert Koontz' gas station, to attract people to it. It was fun to see!

We love the giant coffee pot, and Bedford is a cute town to drive through. Good American history.
