Stop putting locks on this poor guy. And stop digging its stones out. I have photos of when it was perfectly untouched by tourists. It was gorgeous!

Great things to do in the area! The Marine Life Center was super cool. The wharf, a cool pelican statue. Hollywood Beach and historical photos and nice mural. What we thought was going to be a two-minute stop at the locktopus/rocktopus turned into a nice afternoon.

There are locks on the chain fencing and no explanation.

Rocktopus is a sculpture of a large octopus made from cement and stones. Incidentally, people have begun hanging locks along the chain fence surrounding this Rocktopus with significant dates or names written on them.
