Apollo, Pennsylvania: Engine Eaten by a Tree

Outside an auto junkyard, a old, rusty engine is suspended in mid-air, half-eaten by a big tree.

1237 Wysocki Ave., Apollo, PA
From downtown Apollo turn north at the stoplight and drive north on PA-66 along the river, about three-quarters of a mile. When you reach the north end of town, turn left at the brown "Roaring Run Trail" sign onto McCain St. Drive north one block, turn left at the junkyard onto Hunt St., then left again onto Wysocki Ave. The tree will be on the left, growing next to a brick building, across from the office entrance of North Apollo Auto Wrecking.

Engine in tree.

Engine Eaten by a Tree

It is literally an engine in a tree, left long enough to become one with a now-grown plant. It's across from the office entrance of North Apollo Auto Wrecking. The engine is large enough that I can stand on it, but I don't know what kind of engine it is.
