I drove to Florida from Washington D.C. with some college friends and we ate breakfast here. We were attracted by the big coffee pot on the roof. Glad to see the building and coffee pot are still there even if the restaurant is currently closed.

A six-foot-tall, 330-gallon metal coffee pot has sat atop the long-defunct Coffee Pot Diner since 1951, when it was built by owner Fred Griffin. The diner closed in 1979, and its proprietors died years ago, but the property owners have maintained the empty building and its coffee pot as a local landmark, even repairing the pot when it blew off the Diner roof during a winter storm in 2015. The little percolator light on the coffee pot lid still glows at night.
