- From I-59 exit 65A, Hardy Street east. When you get downtown Hardy Street curves northeast and becomes E. Front Street. Take Front St to Mobile Ave. and turn right. Take Mobile to Newman Street and turn left. There is a free parking lot on Newman, directly across from the depot. The spike man is located left of the main entrance to the depot.

Railroad Spike Man
In 2010 Hattiesburg celebrated the centennial of its train station. As part of the activities, a sculpture by artist Jason Kimes was unveiled next to the station. Titled "The Spike That Binds," it is a life-size seated man made entirely out of railroad spikes.They are starting to rust, which makes the sculpture even more interesting.
