Cool stop about 8 miles west of Marfa. There's a pullover spot that fit our 31 foot RV no problem.

A mural, sort of. Elizabeth Taylor, James Dean and more at the Little Reata Ranch where the movie was filmed. Like other attractions in the area, you'll find this in the middle of the desert on the side of the road. On Highway 90 between Valentine and Marfa, home of Prada Marfa.

This is a tribute to the movie "Giant" on the ranch where it was filmed. It is located a few miles west of Marfa on US 90, on the north side of the road. I do not know how long it has been there. The last time i traveled the road, 3-4 years ago, it was not there. What is there are three giant billboards. One is a car with Rock Hudson in the driver's seat, the others are James Dean with a rifle over his shoulder, and the mansion home. The unique thing you may notice is that there is country music playing through speakers disguised as rocks. They are powered by a solar panel.
[Brian M McDermott, 11/27/2018]The plywood tribute by artist John Cerney, titled "Giant Marfa," was erected in October 2018. The music is by Michael Nesmith of The Monkees -- the guy who always wore that ribbed beanie.
