Goleta, California: 1929 Gas Station
Barnsdall-Rio Grande Gas Station is a fancy Spanish colonial revival building opened in 1929 during the oil boom era, closed in 1950s after a US 101 reroute. Used in scene in "The Postman Always Rings Twice" remake (1980).

This building, charming and unique, reminds me of forts I dream of building one day in the forest. It looks completely left behind but oh so dreamy somehow. A worthy roadside attraction.
