This is one of the odder museums I've been to. The first floor is a timeline of events with a selection of odd artifacts from the city's history, including an electroshock battery, lingerie, and gangster history. The second floor is home to an art collection left by an artistic and eccentric couple, as well as a recreation of an old gambling casino. The third floor is the most bizarre, with a recreation of an old family home where murders and intrigue occurred. The whole place is strange but very interesting.

The museum building was in fact a former gambling casino, built in 1870. Saratoga Springs was the Las Vegas of its time, a playground for the wealthy elite known as "The American Monte Carlo."
