19-Foot-Long Concrete Alligator

A 19-foot-long concrete alligator sculpture lays near the Folkston Depot -- not far from the Folkston Train Funnel platform. It was sculpted in 2004 by John P. Kennedy and his family in Delphi Falls, New York. It is a replica of a Louisiana gator from long ago.... the world record for size.

[John P Kennedy, 12/29/2018]

The gator statue is nestled low in the grass, waiting to turn some unwary concrete tourist into a crunchy meal.
