First Cray-1 Supercomputer
This museum is great! You can get a tour from the curator. Lots of Cray computer history plus the history of Chippewa Falls. Well worth the $5 donation.
[Tania, 06/16/2023]Sit on the "World's Most Expensive Loveseat" -- the Cray-1 Supercomputer. Featuring a central column surrounded by a padded, circular seat, the Cray-1 looked like no other computer. -- and performed like no other computer. It reigned as the world's fastest, from 1976 to 1982. This is machine serial no. 1, housed at the Museum of Industry and Technology.
