Visitors to Salisbury University may find themselves face-to-face with a seven-foot-tall fiberglass anthropomorphic seagull. He is Sammy, the university mascot, who oversees a triangular patch of sidewalk outside the school's Henson Science Hall that students have come to call Sammy's Angle. A costumed version of Sammy makes appearances at SU athletics games and special events.
