Big Jim has had a makeover -- he now holds a lobster cage!
[Amanda, 06/10/2013]Prospect Harbor - "Big Jim" at the Stinson Canning Company, Rt. 186, Prospect Harbor. This is a huge, maybe 40-50 foot tall metal cutout of a fisherman in yellow oil clothes, holding a sardine can-shaped sign. It's been there at least 30 years. It was made out of wood until the 80s, when we had a big storm, and the lower half (i.e. the pants) blew off. That went down in history. We were worried they'd take it down when the Stinson family was bought out, but it's still there.

Big Jim earns credit because of his bigness, but 2-D is just not as spectacular as 3-D.
