[Rose McGue, 10/27/2013]Someone posted about the carved wood sculptures on the corner in Edmonds, WA. Actually they are in Kingston on the road coming off of the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry. As you begin on the road after a ferry ride and head toward the hood canal bride there is a gas stationon the left that I have passed a billion times going to visit my parents in Port Angeles.
My favorite sculpture is of a fish wearing jeans. He has his hands in his pockets and it makes me laugh every time that I see it. They have also recently been painted in more vibrant colors.
[Erin Elise, 03/07/2007]We saw these wood carved statues at a gas station in Edmonds numerous times while taking the ferry to visit my brother in Port Townsend. There was no theme to these two figures. Poof, they were just there. Perhaps they smelled the burgers at McDonald's just kittycorner from their station.
